About the Role:
Our Consolidated Financial Reporting team is responsible for completing
all periodic and annual reporting to the Securities and Exchange
Commission, and coordinates ad hoc reporting requirements, including
certain 8-K reports, offering memorandums, and registration statements.
This position shares responsibility to manage many aspects of such
reporting with one other financial reporting manager, and has one direct
report. Following are the requirements for the position:
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and quarterly SEC Reporting (10-K's, 10-Q's, 8-K's) for three
separate reporting entities.
- Perform monthly,
quarterly and annual variance analysis of consolidated profit &
loss, balance sheet and cash flow information.
- Assist in all aspects
of the annual external audit, including the preparation of audit
schedules and collaboration with the auditors.
- Assist in the creation
and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package to be
provided to both the CAO/Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller.
- Develop and improve
upon existing controls ensuring compliance with
SOX.
- Play an instrumental
role in the implementation of the XBRL mandate.
- Assist with technical
accounting research and analysis of GAAP, FASB, and SEC rules and
standards to determine impact on financial reporting.
- Lead the preparation
of registration statements related to public debt transactions, etc.
(Offering Memorandum, S-1s, S-4s).
- Identify and implement
best practices to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness in reporting.
- Participate in special
projects and ad hoc reporting.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands on
accounting and financial management experience with at least 4 years of
public accounting experience.
- Recent SEC reporting
experience.
- Contemporary, in-depth
experience with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Experience working in
a high growth environment and desire to work in a highly visible role.
- Demonstrated ability
to manage and succeed within a high performing accounting team.
- Demonstrated project
management skills, organization / time management skills, and the
ability to meet tight deadlines while keeping in mind competing
priorities.
- Excellent customer
service skills - ability to work well at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate
effectively, confidently and proactively.
- Drive to succeed and
to be forward thinking.
- Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- CPA
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Knowledge of Rule 3-10 of
Regulation S-X
- Prior experience with Oracle
Hyperion Financial Management application.
- Infinium general ledger experience
